Description Brand new Schulz model 18, cast iron, oil lubricated, single stage air compressor pump with intake filter assembly. This is a durable, industrial grade pump. This pump can be operated by 2, 3 or 5 horsepower motors and pumps up to 125 PSI. These motors are commonly 15-19 AMPS. If you have a 5 hp motor that is 22 Amps or larger you will need a larger pump than this. If using a 2 hp motor you will have to spin the pump slower so that it does not overload the motor, which means your CFM output will be lower. For optimum performance we recommend that you operate the pump between 700 and 1000 RPM. This is a great replacement pump for many air compressors that have a 2,3 or 5 hp motor. The slotted base on the pump allows it to adapt to many tanks without any modification, and you can also drill new mounting holes to accommodate this pump. The head and cylinder of this pump can be flipped around to put the air outlet / discharge on either side of the pump for easy installation. This pump includes the flywheel, if your current flywheel is a different size you can easily change the pulley on your motor to adjust for proper RPM.
