Up for grabs a NOS 1958 GM Oldsmobile air ride pump compressor new in the box. This fits 1958 Oldsmobile with air ride suspension all models. This may also fit other GM applications as the compressor tandem 2 cylinder pump unit had the same dimensions and function across the Pontiac, Cadillac, Buick, Oldsmobile, Chevrolet and GMC truck, model lines. This carries GM part number 5540400. It is new in the box and has never been used. This came directly from Oldsmobile Lansing Michigan assembly plant and was a spare for a 1958 Oldsmobile that was never used. It has been in the back in the box since new. The pump is in excellent condition and turns over freely and builds compression. This has been in the original plastic bag and does not have oxidation or corrosion as to be expected for being over 60 years old. The box has some deterioration for being 61 years old as to be expected. This is a very rare unit and a must for correct Concourse restoration. These are few and far between and ours is price much less the only other one ever seen NOS. The compressor cylinder unit 5540256 as well as cylinder heads 5540194 , pistons, connecting rods and crankshaft are all shared between the various GM Car and truck lines. We have included a picture of the Pontiac parts book showing this is the same compressor housing, heads, and more. This matches the factory air brake compressor that is on my 1957 Chevrolet truck 18500 series. If you are missing your pump, your pump does not function, your pump is broken , deteriorated , corroded or just looking to replace it this is a must. This has one of the most unique pump designs you will ever see as it looks like a miniature motorcycle Engine. This will fit 1958 Oldsmobile air ride suspension car is equipped with Delco Remy Air Suspension as well as it may also fit 1958 and later Cadillac Eldorado, Seville, Biarritz , Buick, as well as Chevrolet large truck.
