I just ordered it what seemed like a few hours ago (Saturday evening). I was a bit worried at first because the box had arrived a little beat up and torn. However, after a thorough inspection, there appears to be no damage anywhere to the unit. My one gripe is that they need to work on the sturdiness of the box. Also, the box would have been more manageable if there were heavy-duty handle cut-outs. I didn’t see how the guy managed to carry it to my front porch, but I did notice the box was starting to fall apart. On March 14, 2009. Recovery is VERY quick. I use it for finish work, and it recovers fast. The only complaint I have, and it is minor, is it is a little front heavy when you wheel it due to the length of the compressor protruding from the handle. But it’s still not that bad, I just needed to find something. Not complaining about the wheels either, but when it comes time to replace it, I’ll get rubber wheels for it By the way, the hose storage, and the storage compartment on it are nice complements, and great for storing nails and accessories. Having an oiled unit should make it last longer. I had a sealed unit before, didn’t last all that long. Very well made – add oil – 20 minute initial break-in – ready to go – no assembly required. On June 21, 2013. Well packaged – I cut away cardboard package and surprisingly found Makita was fully assembled. Raised handle and rolled it easily – basically built in dolly. Wheels work fine/in balance – product has quality look about it paint/compressor/gauges/two air outlets/easy tank drain lever/sight glass for oil level (like my motorcycle). Built in hose attachment hooks plus hooks for tools and a small storage area on top. Instruction Manual is minimal – Be sure and add Oil, as instructed, half way up sight glass (red dot) and the “air receiver’s drain valve” is the tank drain valve lever (located on bottom front) rotate lever down (open).
