HAILEA ACO300A 240L/hr Air Pump/Air Compressor. They are great quality and a very solid build – virtually maintenance free. They are non-oil lubricated (and therefore contamination free) and suitable for ponds and aquariums. They are also used for hydroponics, dusting, inflation, manufacture etc. The finned aluminium casing dissipates heat for cool running. Ideal for running several applications from the same pump. Includes a brass connector & hose and plastic manifold. Includes 20 way plastic manifold. What pipe do I need? You will need standard 4mm airline. (It comes with a short length of 10mm pipe to connect the manifold). Alternatively you could connect 10mm flexible pipe directly. What accessories do I need? Non-return valves: If your pump is ever lower than water level (still on dry land I mean) then it is very likely that water can syphon back into the pump this will break it! Use a non-return valve to prevent water reaching the pump (or ensure it is always higher than the water level). In-line valves: Add 4mm inline valves to control the airflow to individual outlets – very useful especially if you have air stones at different depths or further away than others, as the air will try to take the easiest route. How noisy / quiet is it? These pumps are designed for performance over sound levels, they would be too loud to use in your living room for example. How long can it be run for / duty cycle? These pumps are designed for continuous use under normal conditions. As with any air pump you can prolong its life by balancing the output with a valve to release any excess pressure and avoid running pumps with no load at all on the output. Can I use it outside? They are not designed for use outside. Only the airline can run outside. Please ensure it has adequate protection, check with an electrician if unsure. Pump Type: ACO300A / AC240.
